Smoothies are a great way to kick off your morning, re-energize throughout the day, or power up after a hard workout.  The problem?  Not enough protein, which takes longer to digest, and keeps you full longer. Guess what the solve is? TOFU! Surprisingly, silken tofu is a perfect solution to add protein (12 grams in 3 ounces) without unwanted calories to your smoothies – and a silky smooth texture!


  • 2 bananas
  • 1 cup silken organic tofu
  • 1 cup organic soy milk
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened dark cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoon honey

*Choose organic whenever possible

  1. Slice banana and freeze until firm (approx 1hr).
  2. Blend tofu, soymilk, cocoa, and honey in a blender until smooth.
  3. With the motor running, add the banana slices through the hole in the lid and continue to puree until smooth. Serve immediately — enjoy!


Try topping off with shaved coconut and raw cacao nibs.
