Pomegranate juice contains antioxidants at higher levels than do many other fruit juices. Antioxidants provide several heart-protecting benefits, including reducing LDL, or “bad” cholesterol. So sit back and really enjoy this cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle red wine (we like Garnacha and Tempranillo Crianza)
  • 2 cups pomegranate juice
  • ½ cup brandy
  • ½ cup Grand Marnier or Cointreau
  • ¼ cup simple syrup (equal amounts of organic raw sugar and water, heated until sugar dissolves, cooled)
  • ¼ cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1 large orange, halved and thinly sliced
  • 1 organic green apple, cored, halved and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup organic red grapes, sliced in half

*Choose organic whenever possible
