What is CrohnΓÇÖs Disease?
CrohnΓÇÖs disease is a gastrointestinal disorder included within the disease category of irritable bowel disorders (IBDs). It can cause inflammation, swelling, and irritation in any part of the digestive tract, through the end of the small intestine (ileum) is most commonly affected. Nearly 500,000 Americans have CrohnΓÇÖs disease, and many more are suspected to be undiagnosed.
