She invented a patented magnetic closure system for clothing and launched MagnaReady, the world’s first magnetic shirt. A Fashion Enabler, Maura has been and continues to be a driving force of the adaptive clothing movement, working to develop inclusive clothing that meets the unique needs of people with disabilities without sacrificing personal style. Maura now consults with companies to create more adaptive products for the disability community. And, she is a sought-after expert on many topics related to caregiving. Some of her most notable guest speaker appearances have been the American Parkinson Disease Association’s Magic of Hope Gala, the Davis Phinney Foundation Little Big Things conference, and the White House’s Design For All Showcase.
