The Smile of Your Life: Dr. Ana Castilla was born in Ecuador and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. In 2005, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, and in 2006 she completed a General Practice Residency at the Dallas VA Medical Center. Castilla worked as a General Dentist in Texas for four years prior to moving to Portland to begin her Orthodontic Residency at Oregon Health & Science University. Castilla is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. She is an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the OHSU Department of Orthodontics, where she teaches pre-doctoral students, orthodontic residents, and pediatric residents.
